Tony Kahn’s Thanksgiving

For some reason, the automatic podcast download was truncated, so I had to go back and manually fetch the most recent of WGBH Morning Stories, which was host Tony Kahn telling his own story this time. I’m glad I did because it was the most moving one I’ve heard yet. The story of his father and the blacklist is sadly relevant in our current times.

Happy thanksgiving, everybody!

I’ve had the same thing happen with some other podcasts too (never with Morning Stories though). I’ve had trouble with Evil Genius Chron., Engadget, and ESC from the World when I only receive 15 or 20 seconds of the complete download. Sometimes I’ll get a ZERO length file too, and the iPodder (lemon) says completed. Very stange … could this be a bug???

Rick, most of the long holiday weekend my cable modem connection was really slow and kind of flaky, so I’m suspecting that it happened because of a timeout or a hangup with my link. I don’t know that much about the ins and outs of iPodder Lemon (who uses a lemon for their icon? Crazy.) because I use iPodderX. I do note that almost everyone who mails me with a problem getting this feed is using it. Whether that is because it is the most used one or because it has funky problems I don’t know.
