Here is the Bittorrent link and direct MP3 download for the EGC episode for November 30, 2004.

I talk about why it has been a week since the last episode; I tell the story of Tony Kahn’s story about his father and an email from him; more about Butler and the Rock n Roll Geek Show and Alice Cooper; I note that Michael Geoghegan is the perfect critic for me; I play Nicole Simon’s piece about my foul mouth; I play a song from the fantabulous Gentle Readers; I talk about the IT Conversations business model discussion; I play a great newish song from Brad Sucks.

Hmm no, the difference from this thanksgiving episode to your usual ones was not about worksafe and not. You have sometimes stronger language but there was this anger which surprised me.

Oh I forgot - your usual ones are even familysafe in my eyes and I was more irritated about this mass of stronger / harder / angrier language for so long. :o)

Nicole, I guess that I’m a little surprised that you think the anger is unusual. If I had to describe myself in general, angry is one of the first things I’d get to. It’s not like I’m a chair-throwing basketball coach or anything, but I feel this general outrage and general pissed-off-ness almost always. I guess it is my inner punk.

I’ve noted that for the last two days when downloading the bt feed, gosh it is much much slower than old MP3 downloading. I started the 11/30 show torrent download about 1:15PM on 12/1 … it’s only going at 6K/sec … just seems really slow.

So for me there is a dark side of Dave and for you a surprisingly happy side of Dave. :o))

Tuesday November 30th blew me away. It was one of those days where a confluence of the things I am up to in the podcast world all came together. Reel Reviews got plugs like I couldn’t believe! Adam Curry picked up on my sponsorship of fellow PodSqu…

Hey, I got mentioned “on radio”. That’s just too cool for words. Heh. I’m easily amused, I guess.

Thanks for the show, Dave, from one of your seeding angels!

Another thing that they don’t mention about subscribership is that they don’t mention how they will continue to grow listenership despite blocking easy access. Without the linking, etc, you have to have some sort of advertising at that point. I mean ITConversations has to advertise itself somehow which I think becomes infinitely more difficult without free access.
