Children prefer Sounds to Sights

Via Boing Boing comes this study that says that children are more compelled by sounds than sights, in part due to their transient nature. If you don’t pay attention to sounds they disappear, unlike most objects than one views.
Hmmm, and I thought things you had to pay attention to and not skim were bad, for exactly that reason. Bring back the golden age of radio!
