BATMAN BEGINS...rocked my friggin' world!
NAPOLEON DYNAMITE...bizarre as hell, and I love it. "GOD! IDIOT!"
OCEAN'S TWELVE...a complete waste of time.

Others of note...
HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY...a fitting tribute to Douglas Adams' work. Friggin' loved it!
EPISODE III: Revenge of the Sith...it's the best of the new three, and that ain't sayin' a whole lot.
John Carpenter's THE THING...saw it last night on STARS. Holy shit, I forgot how Billy Bad Ass that movie is. And the ending -- friggin' terrifying!

And right now, on TNT, GONE IN SIXTY SECONDS...cool little Cage/Bruckheimer film.

You liked Anchorman? I just can't think of one actor from Saturday Night Live who has been in a good movie.

Penny Marshal was talking about "Bewitched" with Will Ferrell recently. That movie was 10 years in the making because they had to get a big name to sell the movie. They got Nicole Kidman and Will Ferrell. The premise of this movie is a bit far fetched. Who would believe that Ferrell and Kidman would have a romance?

The fact that they have to get big names to make movies is so wrong that it is nauseating to me and I will not pay to see a major Hollywood studio movie ever with rare exceptions. A movie should be art, not toothpaste!

Haven't seen any of the others...
Batman hasn't started here yet...so I can't comment on that!

Dave,

I think you are right on the money. Napolean Dynamite is one of those films that rattles around in your head for a few days. You might forget the plot, which there really wasn't much of, but I know I get a big smile everytime I see someone wearing a "Vote for Pedro" shirt. Jon Heder (Napoleon) does a great job. Remember "Perdo offers you his protection." "Yessssss"

As for Anchorman - dumb movie with some fall out of your seat funny scenes. Either it works for you or it doesn't. "You stay classy, San Diego."
