Eyedrum Podcast

My friend and WREK cohort Chris emailed me about his new project. He has been a volunteer at the Atlanta art gallery/ performance space Eyedrum for a while. Once a month on WREK he hosts a Sunday Special that features songs from performances at the joint. Now he has set up a podcast for those shows. Cool, no? This is yet another semi-official podcast feed for WREK, on top of the ones I set up. It’s not exactly “if you build it they will come” but more like “if you build it, they will build it too.”

Glad to see this made it your way. A good friend is on the board of Eyedrum and we’ve been talking about podcasting for quite some time – even to the point of him doing some sort of ongoing audio performace as a podcast. It was great to get his email about this podcast a few weeks back.
What a cool idea to braodcast the songs that way.Podcasting seems the wat to go for all types of media. I look forward to hearing it.
Thanks for the props, dude!
We do that show once a month, and I have to say it’s a lot of fun to do and probably a lot of fun to hear. We talk about what’s coming up in the next month at Eyedrum and play highlights from the last few months of live recordings (mastered by Jeff Rackley, nice clean recordings, especially the jazzy ones). Eyedrum really is this kind of weird non-profit awesome commununal thing where about a dozen or two folks are just getting shit done, putting on brainbending shows and enriching the Atlanta arts scene.
I love podcasting and this is a great idea.
