Here is the Bittorrent link and direct MP3 download for the EGC clambake for September 11, 2005.

I talk about the “blame game” and how for some of us who live in potential hurricane paths, this is not a game but a basic question about whether we will be left to die in an emergency; Sonia Tetlow is safe and I play one of her songs; I talk about our party; I play a promo for the Dr. Floyd program; I talk about the Podcast and Portable Media Expo; I play another song by Sonia; I talk about Poppy Z. Brite and her New Orleans restaurant novels; I play another song by Sonia and wish you all a farewell.

This episode is sponsored in part by the fine folks at iPod Observer! Don’t forget, you can fly your EGC flag by buying the stuff package. For the month of September, $25 is donated to the Red Cross hurricane relief fund for every one sold, and donated through a match for a $50 total donation.

I realize it’s probably politically incorrect-but I second your little heterosexual epiphany. Women are fascinating and frustrating and pretty wonderful. I also concur they tend to be less showy when they solo.

      Dave,

Nobody wants to die and I understand your concern. So why did you recently buy a house near the ocean and a river???

It’s like running into a buring house and complaining that the fire department isn’t getting there quickly enough.

Dave’s house is not even in a flood zone. He lives in the highest section of the city and far enough inland that his area has never been evacuated.

That’s good. It seems close enough to the ocean to be destroyed by the wind one day but maybe not for 100 years.

Dave, I have a feeling that this is in your queue already, but Benjamen Walker’s latest Theory of Everything has an interview with Dr. Ben Marble, the anonymous voice from Gulfport Mississippi flipping off the Vice President. Enjoy.

I appreciated your well-put comments on the nature of the “Blame Game”

      Hello-

Evil Mastermind, Dr. Steve here. I just wanted to say thanks for mentioning MY show on your little podcast thingy. I appreciate it and I’m sure do all my fans.

Yes, it’s true we’ll be at the Expo in November. I look forward to saying hello, after you’ve waited in the undoubtedly long lines and paid your $15 meet & greet fee ($45 if you’d like an autograph).

Also, I don’t know who that guy you said I sounded like was but apparently I have more time traveling to do!

      Your Idol,

      Dr. Steve

P.S. Fidgert says he hopes you are well.
