R.I.P. Kirby Puckett

Sad news about the death of Kirby Puckett. As a Braves fan, watching him and the Twins beat them in the 1991 series was about as much fun as you can have watching your team lose. I always have a soft spot for the players that seem to enjoy playing the game, which was Puckett to a tee. The game is poorer today for losing the joy he brought to it.

Being a long time Twins fan it was really nice to hear a Braves guy say such kind words about one of my favorite players.

check out my post in tribute to Kirby here.

I’m a Braves fan too and I really loved watching Kirby Puckett play - he made that ‘91 Series a memorable one - he will be missed..

It has been so frustrating to be a Minnesota sports fan as we have been perennial sports losers…until…the Twins. The year before the Twins won, my grandfather passed on and never had a chance to see them go all the way. I also appreciate any athlete that enjoys the Game and gives something back to it.
