I enjoy Dvorak on TWIT to no end.

I think NPR is reaching a turning point and they don't know it. Last year at the npr.org site they had a message on the main program stream which stated that the "R" in NPR stands for radio and that is their primary mission and please support the local stations.

Yes they started as radio but does that mean it always has to stay that way? Do we need Nation Public Internet now because those bozos can't take change? My theory has always been that the local stations are afraid of the internet. It's cheaper than brick and mortar stations. Jobs could be at stake.

I listen to 3 NPR affiliate stations over the internet and one on FM. Which one do I donate to?

Having the affiliates host podcasts and streaming is not a good idea because many of them can not afford to.

concur dave, i usually ignore his articles as noise for the exact dvorak tactic that you mention - his ignorance and blatent attempt to leverage it thematically is frustrating...

based on his comments though it's not working - 12 when i counted, much much less then an average controversial post that comes out of the "real" blogosphere ;)

he's part of the death spiral...
