Oh, and remember, take care of you and yours first. Don't feel like podcasting or blogging? :: shrug :: It's not like we paid ya. We just like that you do it at all, and we like what comes out when you get to it.

I can't wait to see what great things come out once those floodgates open. I appreciate the way you're able to voice what is buggying you about things that you care about. And that's why we listen. I'm sure you'll manage to get your thoughts out, whatever they are.

Don't worry about whether it will sound good or whether we will like it or find it interesting or whatever. Just say what you mean and mean what you say, and the rest will take care of itself.

Danny, the issue isn't failure to do work - it's about what work when. I've actually been doing quite a lot over the last few weeks, just not this. I had a little bit of expectation mismatch, in that I thought I'd be off and running quickly at work and then my evenings would be footloose and fancy free and full of blogging. I'm finding that more often, the things I want to do when I come home aren't that. It's all about finding the new equilibrium, and it will come.

Don't worry about it so much, so quickly. It took me 2 months at my new job (years ago) to feel settled in enough to be able to take on new tasks. In my case, at that time I joined Eyedrum and started helping to run the place.

To quote a very wise dude named Dave, in EGC #174, who was paraphrasing Heinlein...

1) put your ass in the chair
2) write until you are satisfied with it and then publish
3) go back to step #1

I love your podcast and blog. I've been a huge fan from the start. Nothing would make me happier than to have more EGC content to consider and consume!
