Thanks for the movie recommendations, Dave.

It's good to strech one's horizons by trying out movies someone else liked. Your movie recommendations always make me wonder if I'll find a gem among them, as I seem to find among most of the music you recommend. Unlike the music, which you showcase on the podcast, I have to move my ass to try the movies you mention. The monthly Netflix browse seems twice as exciting when you have movie recommendations! LOL

I passed on "The Beguiled," and just about any Eastwood movie, when shown on local PR TV, ages and ages ago, dubbed in Spanish, as you can imagine. My dad was and still is a huge Connery, Eastwood and Bronson fan. He watched the movie marathons every year. They always showed the same old movies, which made them even more uninteresting to me as time went on.

Anyhow, my dad bought himself an Eastwood compilation DVD set some years ago. I borrowed it and watched "The Beguiled". It was rather interesting! Not at all what I expected.

"Man in the Sand" sounds really interesting. I'll give it a whirl.

Man, I'm with you on The Beguiled. Creepy is definitely the word. I remember watching it on TV as a kid and being weirded out by it. I've wanted to see it again, now that I'd have a more adult perspective. I'm not sure if it will be easier to understand, or even creepier because of the better understanding.
