Transit Card Mitten

I love it when the Crafters get all analytical and inventive. Via Makezine comes this story of a Bostonian who knitted mittens that also contain the transit card (which is proximity, not something that needs to be swiped.) I live in a place with effectively no transit and seldom a need for mittens (except maybe last night) but I love the creativity.

Wow. That’s a great idea. They have a similar system in London in the UK, the Oyster card, that you wave over a special pad that then charges you for the journeys you take.
I do love the ingenuity that some people show.

I love the idea of a pocket on the mitts. We just got back from Las Vegas and we were using the tram to get around. Being it was cold…I had mittens on and kept forgetting which pocket the pass was in.
