Thanks to all for the support, it was tons of fun.

Ken- I thought about Dad as soon as I made the money. He would have been tickled pink. I can imagine the combo of subtle bragging and shaking his head over how I got knocked out for days. Everybody at his job and the bowling alley would probably be sick of hearing it by now.

That and I would have to hear about how he taught me everything I know until next year.

Ken, they don’t generally report the names of amateurs, mainly because they don’t know them. I know because Jim called and told me he was knocked out by Bernard Lee with 99 right before play ended last night before I looked at the site, so I knew that was him.

Was James mentioned by name on the WSOP site? Or did he call you with this information?

I went to the WSOP site, clicked until I was slap happy, and saw no mention of James.

He did well; I’m proud, and I can see the smile on DLS’ face if he were here to witness the event.
